Sutherland Institute supports the tax reform draft legislation because it strengthens Utah’s economy by supporting families.
The draft legislation helps families pay for everyday needs by reducing the state income tax taken out of their paychecks.
It offers security to families who rely on government programs for basic needs by making more stable the sales tax system that funds those programs.
By implementing a grocery tax credit, it creates a fair way of taxing food.
And it promotes a better quality of life for families in the future by pursuing better funding for public schools.
Thank you.
