The November 8, 2022, final-election ballot will include candidates for several seats on the Utah State Board of Education (USBE). To help voters in the respective USBE districts become better acquainted with the candidates seeking to serve in these important roles, a series of debates will be conducted live, primarily via YouTube, beginning next week.
The debate series is hosted by the Utah Education Debate Coalition: Hinckley Institute of Politics, KSL, United Way of Salt Lake, Utah PTA, Utah Association of Charter Schools, and Sutherland Institute.
The first debate, with the two candidates in District 14 – parts of Beaver, Sevier, Iron, Emery, Utah, Millard, Juab, Carbon, Sanpete, and Grand Counties – will be conducted on Thursday, Sept. 29, at 12 noon.
For information about the debates, see the graphic below and at this link.
Please note that the approximate geographic areas are indicated only as a guide. To find your USBE district, click here and enter your street address.
