On Tuesday, June 9, 2020, the Utah Education Debate Coalition kicks off its State School Board Debate Series with its first-ever virtual debate series.
These debates give candidates running for the Utah State Board of Education – 15 members that represent over 150,000 people each – time to discuss their stances on important issues, and for voters to meet, learn more about the individual candidates, and ask questions that matter to them.
The members of the Utah State Board of Education make critical decisions regarding the direction of education in our state. We invite you to tune into these debates, ask questions and vote!
Primary election debate schedule:
- District 4: Tuesday, June 9 – 7 to 8 p.m.
- District 10: Wednesday, June 10 – 7 to 8 p.m.
- District 13: Tuesday, June 16 – 7 to 8 p.m.
- District 15: Wednesday, June 17 – 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Not sure if your district is voting this year? Take a look here.
Details on how to watch each of the debates online will be forthcoming. Sutherland also plans to share and stream each debate on its Facebook page.
