SALT LAKE CITY (December 16, 2024) – Sutherland Institute is pleased to announce that A. Scott Anderson, former president and CEO of Zions Bank, has accepted a seat on its Board of Directors.
Anderson brings not only a wealth of knowledge from the financial and investment sector, but also deep experience in community leadership and involvement. Both backgrounds will inform and expand Sutherland’s impact on a broad range of issues.
“Scott represents everything that makes Utah such a wonderful place to live in,” said Sutherland President and CEO Rick Larsen. “His personal commitment to our state, its culture and to our continued prosperity is something to be admired. We are grateful to welcome his leadership to the board.”
Anderson joins Sutherland following more than 25 years as the head of Zions Bank. His guidance has also benefited countless boards in Utah and beyond.
“Sutherland is a voice of reason in an otherwise tumultuous political climate,” Anderson said. “They provide a level of expertise and principle that is needed on Utah’s Capitol Hill and also around Utah’s kitchen tables. I look forward to helping them elevate their efforts.”
Anderson is the eighth member of Sutherland’s Board of Directors. A complete roster can be found here.
