SALT LAKE CITY (May 2, 2023) – Sutherland Institute is pleased to announce the addition of former Utah Foundation president Peter Reichard as Chief Development Officer. In this role, Reichard will oversee development efforts crucial to Sutherland’s expanding research, content and influence.
“Peter’s unique leadership experience in fundraising and public policy is an important addition to the executive team,” said Rick Larsen, Sutherland president and CEO. “Peter will have an immediate impact as Sutherland expands its network of partners and scholars – in Utah and nationwide.”
Reichard comes with a wide array of expertise, including nonprofit management, public policy efforts and journalism. He most recently served as an executive with the national Center for Independent Employees.
“I believe Sutherland’s voice and influence have never been more important to Utah and our nation,” Reichard said. “It’s a privilege to join an experienced team so committed to defending the principles necessary for a free and healthy society to flourish.”
Reichard has written regularly on issues ranging from economic policy to government reform in publications like the Deseret News, The Salt Lake Tribune and The Federalist.
