SALT LAKE CITY—Today Sutherland Institute joined the U.S. Department of Education and other state think tank representatives to discuss individual state efforts in education. At the conclusion of the meeting, Christine Cooke, Sutherland Institute education policy director, released the following statement:
“I am encouraged by the current U.S. Department of Education’s efforts to actively seek out conversations with the individual states to discuss education ideas and solutions,” Cooke said. “When it comes to education, states are the leaders, and it’s imperative to have the federal government honor that. We look forward to potential collaboration in the future.”
