SALT LAKE CITY (September 21, 2026) – Sutherland Institute is pleased to announce its 2026 Congressional Series, sponsored by Zions Bank and presented in partnership with the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah. The series provides students and voters with an opportunity to hear directly from members of Utah’s congressional delegation about policy issues affecting Utah and the nation, in a way that goes deeper than what they may see on social media.
The 2026 series will feature conversations with members of Congress on a range of important policy topics, including education and water policy. Events will be hosted by the Hinckley Institute and will be open to students and members of the public.
“Each year, the Congressional Series gives future political leaders on campus the opportunity to learn what governing is really about and offers Utah voters the opportunity to hear their elected representatives’ perspective on the issues shaping our communities and country,” said Todd Weiler, Sutherland Institute’s President and CEO. “We are grateful to Zions Bank for sponsoring this series and to the Hinckley Institute for partnering with us to bring these conversations to Utah students and the broader public.”

Members of the general public may watch the events through livestream. Livestream information is published on Sutherland Institute’s website ahead of each event.
