Amaya comes to Sutherland with experience in state legislative relations and public communications. During the 2022 general legislative session, she interned with Representative Brad Last with whom she worked to help prepare the 2023 Utah state budget and assist with constituent outreach. Amaya has fostered relationships with legislators and advocacy groups on the Hill while pursuing policies which benefit all Utahns. As part of the Sutherland team, she works with community leaders and promotes meaningful relations with our local partners. In addition to building strong ties with community members, Amaya manages critical details and processes around policy, communications, and events.
