SALT LAKE CITY (January 28, 2025) – Today, Sutherland Institute released a new research publication evaluating how well Utah’s governance lives up to the principle of federalism and shows ways the state could improve.
The new research, authored by Sutherland’s constitutional law and religious freedom fellow, Bill Duncan, uses the Center for Practical Federalism’s 2023 Federalism Scorecard as a baseline to audit Utah’s vulnerability to undue federal influence and offers recommendations to improve.
