Sutherland Institute supports the SUCCEED Act because it is good immigration policy. It achieves a reasonable balance of extending opportunities to and setting high standards for immigrants of good will who were brought to the United States by their parents, without proper documentation, and who have known no other country than America as their home. The solution for people in such situations is not to reject them over legal technicalities, but to create legal processes that both set high expectations and extend to these immigrants the opportunity to fully integrate into their communities and country. The SUCCEED Act does exactly that, and we encourage reasonable conservatives to join us in supporting this measure.
