Matt Anderson works as the director of Sutherland Institute’s Coalition for Self-Government in the West. He has been featured in local and national media, including NPR, C-SPAN and a number of regional publications and radio shows. Matt has also produced many papers in this field and most recently presented research on urban deer herd management policy at the Midwest Political Science Association’s annual conference.
He is an active member of his community, volunteering on political campaigns, serving as a state delegate and precinct chair, and is involved with a number of conservation organizations. He graduated from Utah State University in May 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and is pursuing a master’s of political science with an emphasis in natural resource and public lands policy.
When Matt isn’t working on federalism-related issues, you are likely to find him fly-fishing, ATV riding and camping in Utah’s mountains.
