Dave, there are many facets to this subject that tie a lot of topics into it. The 'pro-social' stances that are being pushed by the popular media, everything must be equal, also cuts out the influence of regular people, potentially brilliant people, who provide the innovations that benefit all of society, because everything must be controlled by the government.

Education is in huge trouble, the United States falling to the bottom of the rankings of developed countries, which influences the ability of individuals to access their special talents, and also their regular talents, to contribute positively to society.

Over 49% of babies conceived out-of-wedlock are aborted; another 49+% are parented, the remaining less than 1% being placed for adoption. Currently 40% of the population of the United States is being born to single parents, a huge burden on society. There are many people who want to adopt, who would provide stable homes and advantages to children, but there are so few babies available. Most of the children in foster care are not legally free to be adopted.

Thanks, Joanne Schieble, for your great courage. And thanks, Dave, for your courage to talk about it.
