The first thing I would like to say is I truly understanding what it is to be discriminated against and I understand your comments. But, before any Utahan of a certain faith can even come to an understand of what it means to be discriminated against, first it is time to examine your own consciences. The late Gordon B. Hinckley was probable the best leader of the LDS church I have ever seen! His mission to get members of the LDS church to treat their neighbours as then would like to be treated was awesome. Treat your non-LDS neighbours like Jews, Catholics, Protestants, Agnostics, and such and only preach the gospel if they wish to hear it. The problem is that a majority of Utahans still do not hold to this advice. I have lived in Utah my entire life and have suffered some of the most horrible acts of discrimination one can suffer, including losing jobs because I wasn't LDS, being refused financial assistance, or even suffered violent acts against my person. So before you can say you feel discriminated against, examine your own consciences and ask youselves this question, 'How do you treat non-LDS neighbours in your community?'

First, it only states that "And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance
shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest
any finding him should kill him." It does not state the nature of the mark. Second, regardless of what it says in the Bible, as important of a scripture as it is, it is not the final word in the LDS church as it is in many others. We also have the Book of Mormon as well as continuing revelations to our Prophet and ourselves through honest and contrite prayer.

Hello Mr. Mero,

I happen to believe that if ever there was a religon that is pro-family, pro-America that religon would have to be Mormonism. I also happen to believe that Mormon people are by far the most astute business people on the planet as I have personal experience working for them and doing business with them. I hope Romney win's the Republican ticket, but any alignment with Obama's "other" middle-of-the-night bills he passed will not get my vote. As a side bar, why did the Mormon church allow African-American's to join the church when clearly in the Bible it say's that they have the mark of "cain". How can the church leadership conform to these standards and not follow God's commandments. I don't mean to sound so prejudice here it's just the not knowing why the church leadership trump's Gods teachings. Thank you.
