Sutherland Institute Announces Launch of NotAZ.org website
SALT LAKE CITY (Jan. 21, 2011)—Sutherland Institute announced today the launch of NotAZ.org, a website created in conjunction with the accountability card proposal and tonight’s immigration debate hosted by Sutherland at Thanksgiving Point. Because Utah is the first state with the chance to offer an alternative to Arizona’s immigration policies, NotAZ.org is an important tool in the effort to stop the spread of Arizona’s punitive, enforcement-only legislation.
“We’re very excited to be a part of this immigration process,” said Sutherland Institute President Paul Mero. “We look forward to a great outcome for Utah.”
Visitors to NotAZ.org will learn more about the accountability card proposal, which is sponsored by State Senator Luz Robles and was crafted with Sutherland Institute. The site also provides viewers the opportunity to donate to Sutherland to support its efforts to pass effective, comprehensive immigration legislation.
